DARREN
CURTIS SKANSON
With 25 years of study and performance, Darren Curtis Skanson is
a musical force that is rising. Most recently, Darren's newest CD, "Solamente
Romanz" charted #8 on Billboard's top Classical Chart as well as his
last CD, "Classica", reached #11.
In the spring of 2001, Darren was proclaimed, "the most requested classical
guitarist on Beethoven Radio" by Beethoven.com, the #1 Internet radio
station in the world in January, 2000. He is also an award-winning composer
as well as being a guest speaker to schools and Universities about music and

Born to a musical family in Fertile, MN, Darren has been performing since

years, the duo produced the immensely popular "Catharsis Infinity".
In 1995, Darren struck out to pursue his own musical vision.
An entrepreneur at heart, Darren started the acoustic label, Colorado Creative
Music and is currently its visionary, business mind and musical brainchild.
He has performed everywhere from NY to San Francisco, Miami to Fargo, composed
over 200 pieces of music and is comfortable with Bach and Beethoven as he
is the wonderful Spanish guitar.
